Why do we need Mocrodermabrasion?

Our skin has a natural skin cell renewal cycle of approx 30 days. As the skin renews, dead skin cells “build up” and thicken the outer-most layer of the skin, resulting in a dull, lifeless complexion. Microdermabrasion exfoliates this build-up of dead skin cells, to reveal younger, smoother and softer skin.

How does it work?

A fine stream of tiny particles from the applicator pen, combined with vacuum is traced over the skin, mechanically removing the dead skin cell layers.

Am I suitable for treatment?

Yes, all skin types are. It is the perfect solution for enlarged pores, acne prone skin and also improves superficial pigmentation and stimulates lymphatic drainage to remove toxins.

Are there any side effects?

It is not uncommon for the skin to be red for a few hours after treatment. The skin may also be slightly marked and dry for several days post treatment as the renewal occurs.

How many treatments are necessary?

For problematic skin an initial course of six to twelve treatments at fortnightly intervals in recommended. Optimal results can be obtained when alternating with IPL Skin Rejuvenation – ask at

reception obout our combined packages.

Consultation procedure

Prior to treatment you must first undergo a consultation where details about your medical history are obtained to confirm suitability. Before proceeding you will be asked to sign a consent form and undergo a test patch.

What aftercare is needed?

Daily application of sunscreen is required, but otherwise you can return immediately to normal activities.
